Meeting Minutes is a simple meeting recording application. It can be used to supplement a paper system, or as a complete replacement for pen and paper. The program may be used immediately without set up of any kind, but there are advantages for managing your meetings completely with Meeting Minutes.
For example, creating agendas is a great way to prepare for a meeting. If the topics of discussion and voting are known beforehand, a significant amount of typing may be saved while the meeting is conducted. Using the agenda feature does not prevent you from adding topics of discussion or voting for additional proposals during the meeting. Just type them in on-the-fly as you would without any agenda, and continue with the planned meeting.
Another feature that is very helpful is the attendance tracking. Any person who is registered for attendance at a meeting will be available as a possible attendee of any following meeting, until you specify otherwise. You may also add possible meeting attendees before the meeting to help cut down on the amount of time taken for roll call. Simply check off the names of those who attend, and you are ready to meet.
The attendees of a meeting may also be grouped together into committees. This function is very valuable for quickly indicating which persons are likely to attend the meeting. Roll call can be kept to a timely minimum.
The tracking of attendance also facilitates voting procedures. Without attendance tracking, the positive and negative votes will be counted. With attendance tracking, you may choose between simple vote counting and tracking the votes individually by attendee.
These features are a supplement to the meeting process. None of them are required to conduct a meeting, but may greatly help recording the meeting when used in advance.
